7.5 introduces new capabilities to automate change management processes for enterprise IT
JERSEY CITY, NJ, May 10, 2022 - Evolven Software, provider of leading Change Control and Analytics platform for the enterprise cloud, today announced new features for automated change reconciliation, search and operational data insights, and user interfaces for rapid integration with IT management, monitoring and automation tools. Evolven’s unique change analytics engine enables enterprise IT to automate reconciliation between actual and planned changes closing the loop of change management processes.
Evolven 7.5 introduces new powerful search capabilities providing enterprises with a single pane of glass into the the end to end configuration, change and consistency state of IT environments including inventory, assets, certificates, and most granular configurations, changes and differences across applications, infrastructure, physical environment, virtual environments, containerization platforms and cloud services, with the ability to easily define advanced queries or custom reporting on actionable change and configuration data.
As an example, recent vulnerabilities like Log4J and Spring4Shell left many IT teams struggling to manage a frequently manual, error-prone, and resource intensive process of searching for vulnerable components across large, complex IT environments. Customers using Evolven search were able to identify and highlight such vulnerabilities automatically with minimum effort within minutes.
“We’re excited about the new capabilities and use cases enabled by 7.5 that will allow our customers to unlock more value from their change and configuration data,” said Sasha Gilenson, CEO of Evolven Software. “With better visibility and automated controls, IT teams will be able to make better decisions and stay ahead of performance, compliance, and security incidents”.
Evolven 7.5 is powered by Evolven’s new patent for its change reconciliation technology. Awarded in March 2022, the patent helps enterprises regain control by automating the detection of actual changes and their reconciliation with the planned ones. Evolven detects any configuration, application, data, and other changes and automatically correlates them with automated deployments and change tickets to categorize detected changes into authorized, unauthorized, and potentially authorized ones. Using Evolven reconciliation, organizations establish automated change controls mitigating stability, compliance and security risks.
“Having complete visibility into actual changes and their context whether planned or unplanned, executed manually or deployed automatically, will help organizations better control their delivery and operations while evolving a culture where making changes outside of the process becomes unacceptable. It adds accountability.” said Bostjan Kauza, Chief Scientist at Evolven Software.
Although we all recognize that changes are the root cause of most security, compliance and stability issues, IT still struggles to identify what has actually changed. Evolven allows enterprises to track all actual changes that have occurred in their environment, using machine learning to identify and prioritize the riskiest ones. With Evolven, IT Operations, DevOps, and ITSM teams experience fewer incidents, faster MTTR, and improved productivity.
